India and France have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for working together on Gaganjan on 06 September 2018 while enhancing cooperation in the space technology sector. After this agreement, India and France also announced a working group for the Gaganayan.
The announcement was made during the sixth edition of the Bangalore Space Expo by Jean Yves Lee Gaul, President of the French Space Agency. India plans to send three humans in space before 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on ISRO's first humanitarian mission on Independence Day.
ISRO and France's Space Agency CNES will provide their expertise jointly in the fields of space medicine, monitoring the health of astronauts, providing life-saving, protection from radiations, defence of debris of space and private hygiene systems.
Together, the two agencies will use ISRO's space travellers on very low gravity. Both countries have shared ideas about the plan to work on Mars, Venus and Axis Planets.
France is present in a facility like Space Hospital and is ready to share this information with India.
