India’s Chief of the Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat, has released a book to honor Param Vir Chakra Awardees named as ‘Paramveer Parwane’ on 20 March 2018 in New Delhi.
The Paramveer Parwane book showcases the dignified bravery of Param Vir Chakra Awardees from the year 1947 to 1965.
The Paramveer Parwane book is written by Dr. Prabhakiran Jain were she used simple and explicit language keeping young readers in mind.
The Paramveer Parwane book is published by Medha Books Publication House.
The Paramveer Parwane book demonstrates 11 short stories, Poems, and Songs that highlights the history of the battles in which the brave soldiers sacrificed their lives and have shown the ultimate courage & leadership while facing the enemy during the war times in order to protect their motherland.

Dr. Prabhakiran Jain is an Indian poet and author/writer contribution to children’s literature has been recognized by many institutions across India.
Dr. Prabhakiran Jain (age 55 years) is a three-time recipient of the Bal Sahitya Samman and Bal Evam Kishore Sahitya Samman awards and also Pandulipi Samman honored by the Hindi Academy.
Dr. Prabhakiran Jain has 15 books to her credit which includes Poetries, Story Books, Biography, Indology and even Editorial work and Research works.
Param Vir Chakra (PVC)
The PVC is India's highest military decoration awarded for the highest degree of distinguished of velour & self-sacrifice in the presence of the enemy.
The PVC can be awarded to officers or enlisted personnel from all branches of the Indian military. It is the second highest award of the government of India after Bharat Ratna.
The PVC is equivalent to the Medal of Honor in the United States and the Victoria Cross in the United Kingdom.
