The Election Commission of India (ECI) on 1st September 2019, has launched Electors Verification Programme (EVP), which aims the updation of electoral rolls through crowdsourcing.
Under the Electors Verification Programme (EVP), a username and password will be provided to a voter from each family.
Under the Electors Verification Programme (EVP), voters can verify or authenticate their details by logging on to the NVSP portal or Voter Helpline App or Common Service Centres or by visiting any nearby voter facilitation center.
Electors Verification Programme (EVP) will improve electoral rolls and will better the electoral services to the citizens, thereby increasing communication between commission and citizens.
Electors Verification Programme (EVP) which was launched at all India level with 32 Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of India will continue till 15 October 2019.
With this EVP voter can avail facilities like verification of voter details and authentication etc. A
