Doomsday Clock was created and represented by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS), at the beginning of the Cold War in 1947, with an original set of seven minutes to midnight.
The BAS was founded at the University of Chicago in 1945, by a group of 15 scientists called the Chicago Atomic Scientists, who participated in developing the first nuclear weapon under Manhattan Project of the U.S.
