DST (Department of Science and Technology) planning to fund the projects of Quantum Computing and Quantum Computers development in India.
Physics departments at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) and Advance Computing Technology coming together under one roof to develop Quantum computing technology for India under initiative taken by Department of Science and Technology of India.
The Department of Science and Technology (Physics departments at Indian Institute of Science), Bangalore, and Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad planning to found next big Advance Computing Technology Project to Develop Quantum Computers. so far have only forayed into theoretical aspects of quantum computing.
India lagging much behind USA, China and other developed nations in developing Quantum Computing technology for practical purposes.
For developing such type of computer, Indian quantum computing experts are expected to gather in Allahabad from across the country in last week of September 2017.
