Delhi Government: CM Arvind Kejriwal launched India's first doorstep delivery of 40 different services: Details, Features, Aim, Highlights

The Delhi government on 10th September 2018 launched a scheme that will enable doorstep delivery of 40 essential government services. It is India's first-ever scheme launched by any state.

The doorstep delivery of services scheme was launched by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the presence of Delhi's Deputy CM, Manish Sisodia.

The doorstep delivery of services scheme is aimed at providing citizen of Delhi with an ease not to stand in queues for the services listed under it.

The first phase of doorstep delivery of 40 services scheme includes caste and marriage certificates, driving license and new water connections.

The doorstep delivery of services scheme would cover various certificates including caste, new water connection, income, driving license, ration card, domicile, marriage registration, duplicate RC and change of address in RC, among others.

The doorstep delivery of 40 services will be charged for an extra fee of Rs 50 INR.

VFS Global, one of the biggest visa and passport service providers in the world, has been given the contract to run the project for 3 years.
