Delhi Metro's Magenta Line now gets open for the public to travel on 29th May 2018.
Delhi Metro's Magenta Line was formally inaugurated by Housing and Urban Affairs Minister, Hardeep S Puri and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal from the Nehru Enclave Metro station on 28th May 2018.
Delhi Metro's Magenta Line is the longest stretched under DMRC’s Delhi Metro's Phase 3 project. The stretch between Janakpuri West and Kalkaji Mandir is the longest stretch which is a part of the 38.2km Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden corridor.
The Magenta Line from Janakpuri West-Kalkaji Mandir section comprises 16 stations. The 24.82-kilometer long section includes interchange facilities at Hauz Khas (with yellow line) and Janakpuri West (With Blue Line). It is part of the Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden in Noida.
The Magenta Line provides connectivity to four universities JNU, IIT, Jamia and Amity University. It has been termed as the Knowledge Corridor by DMRC.
Gurgaon (Gurugram) to Noida commute becomes easier; Hauz Khas interchange station will help commuters from Gurgaon to reach Noida within 50 minutes instead of around 2 hours. Domestic flyers can use Delhi Metro to reach Terminal 1.
