Types of Court Martial, Features, Law, Constitution

 

 

Defense Constitution: Court-martial is mainly of 4 types. But in all the three armies it is done under various laws.

1. General Court Marshal: It has the right to punish all the jawans from the young to the officer. There is a panel of 5 to 7 people in addition to the judge. The court can give the culprit to the culprit for the dismissal, the lifelong ban or the sentence of hanging. In addition, there is a provision for hanging army personnel who fled their post during the war.

2. District Court Marshal: This is for JCO level from the court, in which 2 to 3 members hear together. 

3. Summary General Court Marshal: In the major field areas of Jammu and Kashmir, there is a military personnel who commit crimes. There is a lot of decision in this.

4.Summary Court Marshal: This is the case in the lowest civilian court. In this case, the case is heard from soldiers from the rank of NCO to the NCO and there is a provision of maximum punishment of 2 years.
