NITI Aayog releases Performance on Health Outcomes Health Index launched by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
Indian Government’s think-tank NITI Aayog reveals health Index explaining the performance of health services to improve the health outcomes in social sector health outcomes.
The Health Index aims to improve the health services and improve data collection systems
NITI Aayog’s initiatives ‘Performance on Health Outcomes’ Health Index is launched by the ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Niti Aayog also releases a guidebook for the exercise in the first of a series of regional workshops which needs to be conducted all over the country till February.
The features, methods and measures of health index will be distributed by the Niti Aayog to the states through workshops.
The workshop involves the participation of several partners including technical assistance from the World Bank and other agencies.
The index has been developed with inputs from National and international experts.
