Maksym Radziwill and Kaisa Matomaki bags SASTRA Ramanujan Award

 

 

Maksym Radziwill and Kaisa Matomaki for revolutionary work in number theory bags SASTRA Ramanujan award

The SASTRA Ramanujan award for mathematics is presented to Maksym Radziwill of McGrill University, Canada.

The SASTRA Ramanujan award is presented at the inauguration ceremony of International Conference on Number Theory at SASTRA University at Kumbakonam.

The joint winner is Kaisa Matomaki of University of Turku, Finland

The award was presented by Prof. Weintraub from Lehigh University who is also the Associate Secretary of American Mathematical Society.

SASTRA University presents the Ramanujan Award to a leading mathematician under 32 years.

 The award is presented to Maksym Radziwill and Kaisa Matomaki for their collaborative work on short intervals in number theory.

The SASTRA Ramanujan award consists of a citation and a cash prize of $5,000.
