Famous Marathi Author Asaram Lomte’s book ‘Alok’ has been selected for the Sahitya Academy Award.
The announcement was made during a function in New Delhi.
Asaram Lomte’s book ‘Alok’ was published in the year 2010 which is a collection of six short stories depicts the rural life and the people living in rural areas.
The translation of ‘Alok’ has already been done in Kannad language which is named under the title ‘Lotemanne’.
The six stories depicts the life of the people in rural areas and is a reflection of society and life.
The book ‘Alok’ has multi-faceted stories which deal with the contemporary topics.
Storywriter and dramatist Jayant Pawar’s book ‘Phoneixchya Rakhetoon Uttala Mor’ was awarded the Sahitya Academy Award in 2013.
