Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays foundation of first ever Indian Institute of Skills in the country at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
The institute has been conceptualised on the lines of Singapore’s institute of technical education.
The institute is inspired by the Singapore model of training and would adopt best practises from the country.
Indian Institute of Skills to provide training on best practises of Singapore
The Institute will build with a help of Union Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship with the Institute of technical education.
The Union Ministry of Skill development has decided to build six skill development Institutes in the country.
The event also witnesses the training and recruitment of 4 lakh youth over next three years.
Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launches number of skill development programmes at Kanpur.
