Dehradun gets Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium

 

 

IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla and Chief Minister Harish Ravat inaugurates Rajiv Gandhi Multi-purpose Stadium in Dehradun, Uttrakhand on Friday

The Rajiv Gandhi Multi-Purpose Stadium is Uttrakhand’s International Stadium at Raipur, Dehradun.

A day and night match was held between Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand was held where Suresh Raina and Piyush Chawla also played the match.

The stadium has capacity of 25,000 persons built as per international norms on 23 acres of land

The two leaders also launches ‘Mauli’, the mascot for 38th National Games to be held in the year 2018.

Another project is also expected to launch next week which is the stadium to be launched in Haldwani.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Harish Ravat stated that this is for the state and sports lovers.

Harish Ravat requested Rajeev Shukla to help Uttrakhand association to get a place in Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
