India to start 5th Agni-V test ballistic missile in January 2017

 

 

India to prepare for the Fifth test of Agni-V may hit Northern China

India is making preparations to test its Agni-V ballistic missile in its final operational configuration after two years.

This will be the fourth and the final test of nuclear capable Agni-V missile which is capable of striking northern parts of China.

Agni-V to be used as deterrant against China

There were minor problems after the test in January 2015 which required change in internal battery and electronic configurations.

This will be the final test after the three tests of Agni-V which will be tested for its full range before Strategic Forces Command begins its user trials.

The first test ‘open configuration’ was conducted in April 2012, second test in September 2013 and third test in January 2015.

After the introduction of Agni-V missile, India will join super exclusive club of countries with ICBMs alongside US, Russia, China, France and UK.

Missile Agni-IV and Agni-V are supposing used as a deterrent against China as Beijing is ahead in terms of missile and nuclear arsenals.
