CBI arrests SP Tyagi for Augusta Westland Chopper Case of Rs.3600 crore
Central Bureau of Investigation arrests Former Air Chief SP Tyagi in connection with Rs.3600 crore on Augusta Westland chopper deal case.
Along with him lawyer Gautam Khaidan, Cousin Sanjeev Tyagi alias Julie Tyagi were also arrested.
All the people are arrested due to accepting illegal gratification for exercising influence through corrupt or illegal means.
All of them arrested under Section 120B, Section 420C and Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988
The total amount of Augusta Westland deal case was rs.3767 crore and the bribe amount was 12% of the amount.
CBI came to know after questioning the VVIP helicopter deal by Enforcement Directorate.
SP Tyagi has also been questioned by CBI for days about the case.
