All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has decided to make it compulsory to provide Unique Identification Number at the time of registration to promote Digital India.
Till now it was not mandatory to provide the Aadhaar card details but now AIIMS has decided to make it compulsory for everyone.
Earlier, the patients who do not provide the Aadhaar Card number, the doctors were having trouble to get health related information.
The Government has also decided to use Aadhaar Card to avail other Government services also.
The Aadhaar Card number linked with UHID number will benefit the patients as the doctors will be able to provide the treatment after getting proper information of the health through linked UHID number.
The patients will also get their health related updates at their mobile phones via message.
After the online registration, the patients are asked to take online appointment by providing the Aadhaar Card number.
