Jagdish Singh Khehar be appointed as 44th Chief Justice of India

 

 

Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar be 44th Chief Justice of India, first time from Sikh community

It is the first time in history that the Chief Justice will be appointed from the Sikh community.

Present Chief Justice T.S. Thakur has recommended to the Government of the appointment of next Chief Justice J.S. Khehar.

44th Chief Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar to take the oath of Chief Justice on 4th January 2017 and will serve the post for 7 months

Khehar is strict towards the people who waste the time of court by postponing the hearing dates.

Khehar is also strict to the lawyers who do not present the documents and are not prepared properly for the case.

Khehar believes that lawyers must complete their homework and then come to the court for hearing.

The bench of Khehar and K.S. Radhakrishnan have sentenced Sahara Chairman Subrata Roy in Jail for not payment of dues to investors.
