Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launches Resourcesat-2A from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh
In the flight, ‘XL’ version of PSLV with six solid trap-on motor is used.
The checks on real time stimulation and data transmission were done and therefore it launches on Wednesday.
PSLV-36 placed Resourcesat-2A in 817 km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO) and the rocket blasted off at 10.25 am from the launch pad.
PSLV is the launch vehicle satellite for launching multiple websites in SSOs, Low Earth Orbits (LEO), Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit and sub-GTO.
PSLV has emerged as the workhorse launch vehicle of ISRO and launches websites of foreign also.
From 1994, PSLV has launched 121 satellites out of which 79 are Indian and others are International satellites.
