The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched the Young Scientist Programme ‘Yuvika2019’.
The Young Scientist Programme ‘Yuvika2019’ was inaugurated by ISRO Chairman Dr. K Sivan through video conferencing on 13 May 2019 in Bengaluru.
The Young Scientist Programme ‘Yuvika2019’ is a two-week summer vacation residential program scheduled to be conducted from 13th May to 26th May 2019.
‘Yuvika2019’ program is aimed at creating awareness about the emerging trends in science and technology amongst the youngsters who are the future building blocks of India and encouraging more students to pursue in Science, Technology, Engineering and - Mathematics (STEM) based research/career
The Young Scientist Programme will be conducted over four ISRO centers in Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, and Shillong are attended by 110 students and will help in inculcating scientific temper in the students.
All the participants will be visiting the spaceport of India, Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Shriharikota during this program.
The Young Scientist Programme will foresee diverse science topics ranging from Environment science, Renewable Energy, Astronomy, Rocket engineering, Space applications as well soft skill improvement modules such as teamwork, communication, leadership, etc have been selected as part of the two-week course curriculum.
