Digital India revive USSD low rate mobile banking on mobile phone

 

 

Government planning USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) for mobile banking on simple mobile handset for Digital India 

The Government of India has asked the telecom companies to support such a technology which will be inexpensive without internet connection, mobile banking can be done.

The Government is planning to promote USSD channel by which people can check account balance and transfer funds easily.

The text message system can be easily used by the mobile phone subscribers to reach to the bank easily.

Through USSD system account balance and fund transfer can be easily made on basic feature mobile phone

The technology will be such that the basic feature mobile phones can also avail to mobile banking services.

In India around 60-65 million mobile phones are basic feature mobile phones and not smartphones.

So the people will basic feature mobile phones were having problem to avail to mobile banking services that is why, Government has taken the decision to launch inexpensive technology mobile banking.
