Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key resigns from the post effective from 12th December, new leader to be appointed

The Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key resigns which surprised the country of his decision.

The resignation will be effective from 12th December when the National MPs will chose a new leader.

After the announcement, Key stated that he wants to vote for his deputy Prime Minister Bill English for the post of Prime Minister if he put his name forward.

John Key was the leader of National Party and was first elected in the year 2008, regarded as one of the most popular prime minister

PM John Key recently marked the10th anniversary as the leader of National Party.

Speaking on the resignation, PM Key stated that sometimes you have to take hard decisions to make right decisions.
