The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on 4th March 2019, has launched “Yuva Vigyani Karyakram” for school children.
ISRO scientists will impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the children to arouse their interest in emerging areas of Space activities.
Under it, “Catch them young” residential training programme will be of around two weeks duration during summer holidays with a proposal to select three students from each State and Union Territory, covering CBSE, ICSE and State syllabus.
The selection criteria are already circulated to Chief Secretaries of States and Administrators of Union Territories. Students from the rural area have been given special weightage.
The list of the selected candidates from each state is expected by March 2019 end.
