World Water Day is celebrated every year on 22nd March around the world to mark and raise awareness of the importance of freshwater. It also advocates the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
World Water Day also inspire people around the world to learn more about water-related issues and to take action to make a difference.
World Water Day 2019 theme is to "Leave no one behind", as part of the 2019 Agenda for the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6).
World Water Day is celebrated by several events & functions that includes campaigns to raise money for water projects.
World Water Day was first designated by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 1993.
