The committee will identify the best practises to promote cashless economy which is based on digital payments and adoption of these measures globally.
The committee will also outline a roadmap for implementation of digital payment system through cards, digital wallets, internet banking, unified Payment Interface etc.
A 13-member committee will also spread awareness of making digital payments and to curb black money from the economy.
The committee consists of Chief Ministers of different states and other ministers and chairman.
It will evolve an action plan to reach out the public at large specially small income group people to spread awareness of digital payments.
