In a study it has been found that Rapsyn protein helps to activate the muscles cells of the brain.
Rapysn is a biological anchor that reacts with acetylcholine receptors which ensures that the muscle cells are positioned correctly to receive the order from the brain.
To make connection with muscle cells, neurons release protein agrin which reaches out to the protein on the muscle cell surface.
Rapysn acts as an enzyme to help drive the formation of neuromuscular juncture through a process called neddylation.
This action occurs in the part of Rapysn called RING whose function was not previously known.
