DBT (Direct Benefit) Transfer scheme for 100% subsidy to farmers

 

 

Union Cabinet to introduce Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme (DBT) to provide subsidy of fertilisers to the farmers

The Government has decided to provide 100% subsidy on various fertiliser grades to the fertiliser manufacturing companies that has no relation with landholding of farmers.

The subsidy to be provided to manufacturers and importers on the basis of actual sales after the sale is made to the retailers to beneficiaries.

Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme aims to reduce smuggling or misusing the fertilizers to a large extent

The DBT scheme will firstly available to 16 districts and then after it will be provided to a;; the parts of the country.

The Government will be providing the fertilisers on ‘on denial’ basis.
