The Asia Pacific Summit 2018 began on 1st December 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is scheduled to be held till 3rd December 2018.
The Asia Pacific Summit 2018 theme is "Addressing the Critical Challenges of Our Time: Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity, and Universal Values".
The Asia Pacific Summit 2018 is a 3-day event organised by th South Korea-based Universal Peace Federation and supported by the Nepal Government.
The Asia Pacific Summit 2018 participating countries were from the Asia-Pacific region including India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the Philippines.
The Asia Pacific Summit 2018 will witness over 1500 participants from 45 countries are attending the summit. They will discuss various global issues, including peace, development, good governance and the role of parliamentarians, climate change and the role of media.
This was the first extended international summit being held in Nepal after the 4th BIMSTEC Summit held on 30th August to 31st August 2018.
