The Government is spending 150 crore on the protection of cows and many new Gaushalas has been set up across the cities.
The protection under this mission will help in the rise of number of local cow breeds.
The Government of India also provides proper nutrition to the cows, buffaloes and other breeds with proper nutrition feeding.
