India & Morocco signed pact for assistance in legal and commercial matters: Details, Features, Aim, Highlights
India and Morroco signed an agreement to further mutual legal assistance in Civil and Commercial Courts. This agreement will promote co-operation in the service of summons, judicial documents, letters of request and the execution of judgments decrees and arbitral awards.
This India and Morrocois agreement will be lucrative for the citizens of both countries. It will fest the desire of both the countries to strengthen the bonds of friendship and fruitful cooperation in the Civil and Commercial matters.
Under India and Morocco proposed agreement for assistance in legal and commercial matters followings objectives would be met:
1. Service of summons and other judicial documents or processes
2. Taking of evidence in civil matters
3. Production, identification or examination of documents, recordings
4. Execution of a Letter of Request for taking of evidence in civil matters
5. Recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards
On the occasion, India-Morocco also signed a joint declaration of Intent on cooperation in the field of modernisation and use of Information Technology between National Informatics Center (NIC) of India and the Ministry of Justice of Morocco.
