It has two benefits firstly the process removes harmful carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the diesel can be used as an alternative fuel to gasoline.
The new delafossite based catalyst which is used for reactions of hydrogen and carbon dioxide are limited, mostly to low molecular weight substances such as methane and ethanol.
As due to low value of these catalysts the reduction efforts is generally low.
