India and Morocco have signed an Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters on 12th November 2018 in New Delhi.
India & Morocco agreement was signed by Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home on behalf of the Union Government and Mohamed Aujjar, Minister of Justice on behalf of the Moroccan Government.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Morocco and enhance effectiveness and provide a broad legal framework for prevention, investigation, and prosecution of crimes, as well as in tracing, restraint and confiscation of funds meant to finance terrorist acts.
India & Morocco agreement signing witness both the nations reiterated their resolve to jointly counter the threats posed by organised crime and terrorism.
