Union Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Government for the Republic of Korea (South Korea) for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism on 5th November 2018 in New Delhi.
The MoU was signed between Union Tourism Minister K J Alphons and Mr. Do Jong-hwan Korean, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Sports, Republic of Korea.
The MoU was signed by two parties desiring to strengthen and further develop the established relationship for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism.
The main objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding include expanding bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector, increasing the exchange of information and data, encouraging cooperation between tourism stakeholders including Hotels and Tour Operators and establishing exchange programmes for cooperation in Human Resources Development.
The MoU aims to leverage Investment in the Tourism and Hospitality sectors, exchange visits of Tour Operators / Media / Opinion Makers for the promotion of two-way tourism and promote safe, honorable and sustainable tourism
