Eminent Prof. M.G.K Menon (Mambillikalathil Govind Kumar Menon) passes away after severe illness
Prof. Menon served as MOS for Science and Technology and Education, Member, Planning Commission, Member of Parliament, President of Statistical Institute etc.
Prof. Menon did investigations in the field of Cosmic Rays and high-energy interactions of elementary particles.
President Pranab Mukherjee condoles on the demise of Prof. Menon.
Prof. Menon has a prominent role in the development of Science and Technology in the country.
Prof. Menon was also awarded by Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan and his death has a great loss for our country especially in scientific community.
