India successfully conducted the twin trial of Prithvi-II missile on 21st November 2016 from a test range of Chandipur in Odisha.
In salvo mode, the two service-to-service missiles have a strike range of 350 km and is capable of carrying 500 kg to 1000 kg of warheads.
This missile uses advanced inertial guidance system with manoeuvring trajectory to hit its target.
The missiles were chosen form the production stock and the launch activities were carried by formed strategic force command (SFC).
This missile is monitored by DRDO radars, electro-optical tracking system and telemetry stations located in Odisha.
