International conference on Brucellosis disease 2016 New Delhi
The Ministry of State for Science and Technology inaugurates International Conference on Brucellosis 2016 in New Delhi to spread awareness on the disease brucellosis among the people
Brucellosis is a dreadful disease caused by bacteria and infects animals like cows, goats, pigs, sheep etc. as well as human beings.
The Ministry also launches ‘Brucella free villages’ programme for implementation on 50 villages
This programme would be supported by guidelines and standard operating practises along with IT enabled application.
Humans get infected due to contact with animals or animal products like milks, cheese etc. and symptoms for this disease is same as common flu like fever, sweats, headache etc.
Shri Sudarshan Bhagat who presided over the meeting release various vaccines and three new diagnostic kits.
