Google Doodle Celebrates Beginning of Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 on 6th October: Details, Schedule, Highlights

Today Google Doodle is celebrating the beginning of Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 on 6th October. In a few countries, this sports event is officially known as the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games and commonly known as Buenos Aires 2018. 

The Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018, an international sports cultural and educational event will be hosted in Buenos Aires Argentina.

The Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 is scheduled to be held between 6th October 2018 and 16th October 2018. 

The Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 will witness over 200 countries participation, that would be sending thousands of athletes of age between 15 years to 18 years to the summer games.

Today, Google's Doodle with the theme 'let the games begin today' celebrates the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games with a moving animated GIF. 

As per the International Olympic Committee,  “an elite sporting event for young people from all over the world,” the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) are much like the Olympic Games (OG) in any respect.

The Summer Youth Olympic Games=2018 mascot this year is 'Pandi the teen jaguar,' who loves sports and is native to Argentina.

The Summer Youth Olympic Games occur every four years in a different city and country with summer and winter editions.

Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded for the first, second, and third place. This year the medals are designed by an 18-year-old Farid Husen from Indonesia.
