Mercury Planet shrinking at 2 miles deep Rembrandt basin valley

A new study has been found that a valley is found on the Mercury planet in southern hemisphere which indicates shrinking planet

Researchers found a valley using high resolution topographic map of southern hemisphere.

It was found that valley is 250 metres wide, 6000 miles long and 2 miles deep

This valley extends to Rembrandt basin which is one of the largest basins in the World.

Scientists believed that the floor was lowered by the same method but in reality the floor of the valley is below the terrain.

The valley is surrounded by two large scarps and they ended up becoming large cliffs due to Mecury’s contraction.

Mercury’s Great Valley is found as a result of global attraction of the shrinking Mercury planet.
