About SIDBI National level entrepreneurship awareness campaign 'Udyam Abhilasha': Details, Aim, Objective, Highlights

The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has recently launched a national level entrepreneurship awareness campaign 'Udyam Abhilasha'.

The Udyam Abhilasha campaign was launched in 115 Aspirational Districts identified by NITI Aayog in 28 States of India.

The Udyam Abhilasha campaign will be active from 3 October 2018 to 8 October 2018 across India and will present to around 15,000 youth.

The Udyam Abhilasha campaign will create and strengthen cadre of more than 800 trainers to provide entrepreneurship training to aspiring youths across these districts to enter the admired segment of entrepreneurs.

For Udyam Abhilasha campaign implementation, SIDBI has joined hands with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle, (CSC SPV) under Ministry of Electronics & IT through their CSCs.

SIDBI will also tie-up with Banks, NABARD, NBFCs, SFBs, District Industries Centres, State Government etc.

Under it, CSC Village Level entrepreneurs (VLEs) will play a vital role of a catalyst under this campaign for these aspiring entrepreneurs.

The VLEs will provide training, support aspirants to establish new units, assisting them in availing loans and make them aware about various Government initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, SUI etc. and educate them in business literacy.

Udyam Abhilasha Campaign Objectives

Inspiring rural youth in aspirational districts to be entrepreneurs by assisting them to set up their own enterprise.

Imparting training through digital medium across the country,

Creating business opportunities for CSC-VLEs.

Focussing on women aspirants in aspirational districts to encourage women entrepreneurship.

Assisting participants to become bankable and avail credit facility from banks to set up their own enterprise.
