Sonam Wangchuk to be awarded as Rolex Award for his work for welfare of the people and providing education to the poor people
In the film 3 Idiots Aamir Khan has played the role of Phunsukh Vangdu and that person was none other than Sonam Wangchuk.
Sonam Wangchuk is Maha Vir Chakra winner Indian Army officer associated with the Ladakh Scouts regiment.
Sonam Wangchuk provides education to the people who do not get proper opportunities to study or are kicked out of he schools and he fulfils their dreams.
He has also established a committee for working on Education and encironemnt named as Education and Cultural Movement of Laddakh.
He has been awarded for his commendable work in protecting the lakes and ponds.
Sonam Wangchuk believes in practical education so he established an NGO which focuses on providing practical education at local language to the people.
