Indian Army buy 155 mm Howitzer M-777 cannon from America for 5000 Crore to take place of heavy boforce cannon
Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a cabinet committee on Security and decided to buy M-777 Howitzer cannons from America.
India and America Government to sign a deal for this at 5 thousand crore and out of It 30% offset clause has been set up.
It is expected that India-America to sign deal for Howitzer cannon in next two weeks
This cannon has a range of more than 25 km and can be airlifted to 4057 km Line of Actual Control beside China.
Howitzer weighs around 4 tonnes and can shoot to 16 thousand feet in height.
Howitzer M-777 is produced by BAE based system which is owned by a Swedish company.
