Note Ban: Shaktikant Das new relief policies for wedding, farmers

 

 

Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikant Das held a press conference for issues and solutions regarding 500 and 1000 note ban

Shaktikant Das stated that Farmers can draw up to Rs.25,000 per week against crop loans sanctioned and credited to their accounts.

They would be provided the amount either by cheque or credited by RTGS account.

The Government of India has also extended the time limit for crop insurance premium to the farmers by 15 days.

For wedding ceremonies, up to 2.5 lakh can be withdrawn from the bank account which are KYC Compliant

From 18th November the limit for exchange of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 denomination note from 4500 would be reduced to 2000.

Only one member of the family can withdraw the amount of Rs.2.5 lakh for wedding ceremonies.

Shaktikant Das stated that Task force has been established to re-calibrate the ATMs and it would surely done soon.

Central government employees upto group C can withdraw a salary upto Rs.10,000 in advance and it would be adjusted in their November salary.
