The Unique Identification Authority of India launches a toll free number for 1947 to get the quick access of information about Aadhaar.
This toll free number can be contacted 24×7 on IVRS mode while Call-Centre agents would be available from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This helpline number enables the residents to locate an Aadhaar enrolment Centre, get information regarding generation status of Aadhaar number after enrolment and helps to get Aadhaar details of any person who has lost the Aadhar card.
UIDAI also cautioned people to be aware to provide photocopies to anyone so that it cannot be misused by another person.
