The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on 26th September 2018, has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Uzbekistan on cooperation in health and medical science.
India and Uzbekistan MoU cover expanding opportunities for the development of business cooperation in the field of medical equipment, including equipment for teaching and research laboratories of institutions of medical education and pharmaceutical products.
India and Uzbekistan agreement also include strengthening of primary health care and setting up of health care facilities, medical and health research development, as well as the exchange of experience and technologies in the field of telemedicine and electronic health information systems and maternal and child health protection.
A working group will be set up to further elaborate the details of cooperation and to oversee the implementation of this agreement.
Moreover, the Union Cabinet has also approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Uzbekistan for increased cooperation in the areas of trade, industry, and research and development of pharmaceutical products.
