The second Global RE-INVEST event will be held in New Delhi. It is scheduled to be held from 3rd October 2018 to -5th October 2018.
Addressing a press conference, Power Minister R K Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 2nd Global RE-INVEST event.
The 2nd Global RE-INVEST event is expected to witness the participation from 15 countries and it will have over 150 speakers including 55 international ones.
The different sessions of the 2nd Re-Invest will be held at India-Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
The 2nd RE-Invest event will showcase technologies and the progress that has been made and it will enable the building of partnerships between India and other countries.
The participants would include ministerial delegations from the member countries of International Solar Alliance (ISA) and Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) apart from industry representatives from other parts of the world.
The 2nd Global RE-INVEST will also host the first assembly of International Solar Alliance.
As per the Paris Accord on Climate Change, India made a pledge that by 2030, 40 percent of the installed power generation capacity should be based on fossil fuel based sources.
