Shaktikant Das, Economic Affairs Secretary holds press conference for 500 and 1000 note ban today

Economic Affairs Secretary, Shaktikanta Das stated actions to be taken for hospitals and pharmacies not accepting old currency.

Das stated that this is rumour that the institutions are going on strike these false stories were of the previous year 2015

Secretary expressed that the Government has lot of stock for salt so please do not believe in such rumours there would be no shortage and no rise in prices in salt.

Das urged people to not panic, there is enough cash with RBI and situations are increasing day by day and would also ease out in upcoming days.

Indelible ink mark system to start from today which would help to differentiate between real and fake notes.
