Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) at Dwarka, New Delhi on September 20, 2018.
International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) is located in Sector 25 of Dwarka, would be a world-class state-of-the-art Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre, with facilities like financial, hospitality and retail services.
International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) project total estimated cost is Rs 25700 crores. It will rank among the top 10 in the world and the biggest indoor exhibition space in India.
International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) project is implemented by India International Convention & Exhibition Centre Limited, a 100 percent Government owned company under the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
IICC construction will be in line with green building principles and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Platinum rating standards.
IICC can accommodate 11,000 persons, 5 exhibition halls, 1-kilometer long foyer, multi-purpose arena with a retractable roof.
IICC complex will have a dedicated underground Metro station which will be an extension of the airport high-speed metro corridor and is being constructed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
IICC will be developed in two phases. Phase-I and II will be completed by December 2019 and December 2024, respectively
