India's first ever devoted dog park constructed in Hyderabad: Details, Features, Highlights

India's first-ever devoted dog park has been constructed in Hyderabad, Telangana. 

The dog park was initially a dump yard at Kondapur, Hyderabad. The entire set up took around six months to build. It will be inaugurated in the last week of September 2018.

The dog park is spread over in 1.3 acres, has been developed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation at cost of Rs. 1.1 crore.

The park houses dog training equipment, exercise equipment, play equipment, splash pool, fountain, areas for exercise, an amphitheater, two lawns, separate kennels for small and big dogs and a dedicated para-vet dog clinic.

The dog park is developed at the international standards also certified by Kennel Club of India.

The dog park was conceptualised by an IAS officer Harichandana, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Zonal Commissioner. He developed it on the lines of pet parks, which is common in foreign countries.
