PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Greenfield Mopa Airport in Tuam,Goa
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Mopa Greenfield Airport in Goa and an Electronic City in Tuam on 13th November 2016 at Goa.
In addition, PM also inaugurated infrastructure for building of Mine Counter Measure Vessels and Construction of five coast Guard Offshore Petrol Vessels.
The airport in North Goa Pernem will be constructed by GMR infrastructure which has also constructed airports in Delhi and Hyderabad.
The first phase of Mopa Airport is expected to be started by the financial year 2019-2020
GMR Infrastructure has agreed at the cost of 3000 crore for the airport.
Speaking on the event, PM stated that he congratulates the team of BRICS summit in Goa and praises Goa for its progress.
