Jammu & Kashmir becomes 3rd State to adopt RADMS software: Details, Features, Aim, Highlights

Jammu & Kashmir has become the third state in India with adoption & launch of Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS), an automated software-based solution on road accident data. 

The Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS) software was formally launched by the Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon on 10th September 2018 in Srinagar.

The Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS) software is a geographical information system (GIS) solution for identification of black spots, wrong driving practices, overloading issues, driver issues and other factors causing or related to road accidents.

The RADMS, an automated software-based solution has been developed by the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) to create a platform for on-the-spot collection of standard and accurate road accident data immediately after a mishap.

In 2015, the 'Supreme Court committee on road safety' had mandated all states to use RADMS.
