India-Japan signs defence Framework Agreement for Equipment and Technology

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PM Shinzo Abe signs two defence agreements Framework Agreements for the transfer of Defence Equipment and Technology.

Both the countries decided to expand defence structure through two-way collaboration and technology cooperation.

They also decided to conduct the decisions for determining specific items through joint working group on defence Equipment and technology cooperation.

Modi and Abe decided to deepen bilateral security and defence dialogues like Defence Policy Dialogue, Military-to-Military Talks and coast Guard-to-Guard cooperation

Japan agreed to provide art defence platforms US-2 amphibian aircraft.

This summit symbolises high degree of trust between India-Japan in prviding bilateral defence exchanges.

Prime Minister Modi and Abe decide to exchange the training personnel and conduct disaster relief exercises.
